CARE
SHOULD I WASH FRAGMENTED PRODUCTS BEFORE WEARING THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME?
The garments from which we sourced the wool fragments were washed using gentle detergents based on lanolin and coconut fat. The finished product was then treated with ozone to eliminate mold, fungi, viruses, bacteria, pollen, and dust mites. Our products are therefore hygienically clean. For this reason, there is no need to wash Fragmented garments before wearing them for the first time.
PROPERTIES OF WOOL AND HOW TO CARE FOR IT
Wool is a fully natural fiber that is skin-friendly and offers exceptional wearing comfort. Known for its hygienic qualities, it is soft and delicate to the touch. One of its key features is hygroscopicity – wool slowly absorbs moisture from the environment, making it ideal for outerwear. It allows the skin to breathe and remains versatile regardless of weather conditions. Additionally, wool products are highly elastic and resistant to wrinkling, helping them maintain their aesthetic appearance over time.
Thanks to its natural properties, wool is resistant to dirt, odors, and bacterial growth. We encourage you to reduce the frequency of washing wool garments and opt for airing them instead, which prolongs the fabric’s durability and supports environmental protection.
If washing is necessary (for example, due to a stain), we recommend gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with a specialized wool detergent to protect the fiber’s natural waxes. Avoid soaking wool for too long to preserve its protective qualities. After washing, gently press out excess water using a towel and lay the garment flat to dry to avoid distortion.
Our products can also be refreshed with steam. We recommend steaming a single layer of the garment (for example, by placing it flat on an ironing board). When steaming sleeves, you can insert a cotton cloth or t-shirt inside to prevent seam impressions.
